Potpourri 11

Downton_Abbey_season_1It’s been a very busy few months and I feel that my reading and writing is falling a bit behind, although I’m enjoying it immensely.  If you follow my blog, you know I’m catching up on Downton Abbey.  I was so excited with the first two seasons and loved the characters, the contrast between those who were totally repulsive, the humorous ones, and the really charming ones.  And then, they started dying off!!  It was very upsetting.  And then, terrible things started happening.  I had to keep watching, and when season 4 ended, too many things were left hanging and so now, I’m watching season 5 in the hopes that I’ll discover the things I urgently need to know.

I’m looking forward to watching the miniseries version of The Red Tent which I just received from Amazon.  (I reviewed the novel by Anita Diamant that the movie is based on.)

AuthorChallengeI’ve reached 48 books in my Goodreads Challenge and have only 2 more books to read for my Eclectic Reader Challenge.  I’m reading a Virginia Woolf novel for the challenge I’ve begun, Ms M’s Author Challenge, which will be my first of books by 14 authors, and if you’d like to learn more about it, you can read it here.  I’m signed on for two blog tours in May and have 2 more books for BookLookBloggers. Wow!

Here are some of the books I’ve read this year!

About mysm2000

Having taught elementary school for more than 25 years and been involved in many amazing technology and curriculum projects, I find I've developed a myriad of interests based on literature I've read and music I've heard. I've followed The Wright Three to Chicago, Ansel Adams to Colorado, The Kon Tiki Expedition to Easter Island, Simon & Garfunkel lyrics to New York City, Frank Lloyd Wright to Fallingwater, Pennsylvania, and have only just begun.
