A bit of a celebration today!
Exactly one year ago today, I made my first post on this blog. Since then, I’ve published 327 pieces and I’ve only missed one day since Jan. 1st this year. I am so pleased that 87 of you are now following my blog and I thank you very much for showing your interest, making your comments, and hitting that ‘like’ button from time to time.
One of my most popular posts has been my review of the Time Life Magazine entitled “100 Women Who Changed The World.” Almost 300 people have viewed it, although no-one has accepted my challenge to read a book written by each of the 14 + 2 women authors mentioned in the magazine. I’ve read two of them so far, Virginia Woolf and Maya Angelou, and am looking forward to reading the rest.
I’ve also completed the reading of 55 books for my Goodreads Challenge to read 100 books this year, and have only two more books to read for the Eclectic Reader Challenge 2015 hosted by Book’d Out in Australia. I’m working on my book set in a country starting with “S” — Carlos Ruiz Zafón’s The Angel’s Game, set in Barcelona, Spain. That will just leave a book about sports. I’m open to any suggestions as sports is not my particular thing, which of course is the purpose of the challenge — to read outside my comfort zone.
It’s been a great year and I’m really looking forward to the coming year. I’ve lots of great books lined up, some on the floor and some on the ipad, and some really excellent movies to see, and I hope you’re looking forward to it as well. So, here’s to the 2nd year of Ms. M’s Bookshelf!!
