What’s in a Cover?

I’ve been reading and writing about Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar.  In a previous post, I commented on my surprise at the various cover editions.  I was wondering what you think would be the most compelling cover of the ones available.  Here are 15 of them. (I may have missed one or two.)

If you haven’t already read The Bell Jar, which of these covers would entice you to buy it or borrow it?  If you have read it, which cover do you feel is most appropriate based on the content?

About mysm2000

Having taught elementary school for more than 25 years and been involved in many amazing technology and curriculum projects, I find I've developed a myriad of interests based on literature I've read and music I've heard. I've followed The Wright Three to Chicago, Ansel Adams to Colorado, The Kon Tiki Expedition to Easter Island, Simon & Garfunkel lyrics to New York City, Frank Lloyd Wright to Fallingwater, Pennsylvania, and have only just begun.
